A cheerful God

The God Bacchus, the classic tradition incarnation of a life of pleasure, affectation and leisure.

With his dense brown curls among which deep purple grapes and lush foliage are intertwined, he's the emblem of a cheerful lightheartedness, of the present lived at its peak, of the 'here and now.'

For the Greeks he was Dionysus in the moment of passionate ecstasy, a wandering and troubled divinity, who united in himself all the contrasts of the world: gods, men, women, animals, plants and emotions, collided in him. Often depicted enjoying a cup of divine nectar, Bacchus laughs and enjoys savoring all that life has to offer.

Rome banned the celebrations in his honor due to the inconvenience brought to the community. But this did not stop the cult: Bacchus had, after all, invented wine!

And it is in his footsteps that the wheels of our Palladian E-Bike want to take us, on the Treasures of Bacchus tour: from Padua we will continue towards the eternal splendor of Villa Emo Capodilista and then immerse ourselves in the lush and fragrant vineyards of Villa dei Vescovi, savoring along the journey precious and inebriating goblets.
