A square, a city ... beautiful A square, a city ... beautiful between beautiful and beautiful there is a difference. I am referring to the name that Vicenza carries with it from the past. But today? UNESCO city. True. But certainly not beautiful, if we look a bit around beyond the "usual" historical living room.

But the city is not all there. I pause on Piazza S. Lorenzo. A scenographic, rich square: A cleaned monument dedicated to Giacomo Zanella, the Temple of San Lorenzo, stupendous and magnificent, the Palazzo Repeta opposite, formerly the Bank of Italy headquarters, closed for some time with its treasure of art inside and a fountain. Here is the point, the fountain: it has been out for a long time, never in lasting operation. A square, among others often dull, that make a silent, sad and melancholy scene. So I ask myself: what problems does the city have with water? Because it is common that they always work very little and for a long time they are there, mute and miserable. Certainly the fountain mentioned with its gushing, lively fountain, with its multiple jets would really be a visual feast, as well as an attraction for the square itself, indeed it would be its just completion. Who knows, maybe one day this city will be able to "ally" with water, once and for all and finally see its fountains gushing "festive" like a UNESCO city, he commands. That's why there is a difference between beautiful and beautiful. It is of little use to be decorated with titles of the past, if then you are not able to make it really beautiful and attractive in its designated places. A little more attention to what already exists in the city and is there, waiting for the necessary attention so that what is there is truly beautiful. It would already be a step forward. Perhaps as already said at other times, to interest and be able to involve the private individual in an intelligent project to enhance the places that would give prestige to this city, perhaps to become truly beautiful.
